Dr. Susan Drysdale will lead us through the stages and surprises of grief recovery. Along the way she will be offering strategies for coping and moving through deep and personal grief. Her topics include:
- Steps and stages of grief
- Tasks to help a person move through grief
- What works and what doesn't work when it comes to grief
- Complicated bereavement (special cases that address unusual circumstances)
Who should attend? Anyone who has lost a spouse, a parent, a sibling, a child, or a friend.
This workshop is for the Unity family and the Prescott Community.
Dr. Drysdale is a psychotherapist as well as a NYS licensed clinical social worker. Her areas of expertise include bereavement, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, transitions and loss, addictions, stress-related symptoms, coping with illness, and senior citizen issues. She works with individuals, couples, and groups. She will be teaching a four week class on Understanding Grief for the OLLI program, in November, at Yavapai College.
All are welcome. $5.00 to sign-up and a love offering will be taken at the end of the event.
